How to Use Happy Camper
Black Tank:
- Fill toilet bowl with water and add 1 oz. of Happy Camper per 40-gallon tank.
- Stir well and flush.
- Refill toilet bowl with two gallons of water and flush.
Gray Tank:
- Mix 1/2 oz. of Happy Camper with water in kitchen sink or shower and wash it down the drain.
House Boats:
- Same as above, but put no more than 4 oz. in the bowl at a time.
- Flush and repeat until you have added the proper amount for your tank size.
First Time Use:
- Double the amount of Happy Camper for a thorough tank cleansing.
- Refill the tank as usual.
How to Clean Holding Tank Sensors
- Empty the tanks.
- Fill holding tanks halfway full with fresh water.
- Add a double dose of Happy Camper to each tank.
- Feed a 1 lb. bag of ice down the toilet per 15-gallons of tank capacity.
- After driving for at least 50 miles, sensors should be clean.
- Empty if needed, or wait and empty when full.
How to Clean a Gray Water Holding Tank
- Make sure full hookups are attached.
- Empty and close the tank.
- Mix a double dose of Happy Camper into a gallon of water. Drain mix into tank.
- Finish filling the tank with fresh water until you see it coming up over the shower drain.
- Let it sit overnight, then empty in the morning.
- This will also clean any debris from the top of the tanks.
How to Clean a Septic Tank
- Break up 2 lbs. of cheap ground beef in plastic bags. Let sit in sun until rotten (3 or 4 days).
- Flush rotten hamburger down toilet (2 or 3 flushes). This increases the presence of beneficial bacteria.
- Add 8 oz. of Happy Camper per 500 gallon tank, or 16 oz. for poorly operating septic tanks.
How to Use Happy Camper Extreme Cleaner
- Mix 9oz. (half the container) of Extreme Cleaner in a 3-5 gallon bucket.
- Pour the mixture into one tank.
- Repeat with the other half, pouring the mixture into the second tank.
- Fill both tanks halfway full of water, and optionally add 3 or 4 bags of crushed ice.
- Drive at least 30 miles on a curvy road. Drain and rinse the tanks.
- If your RV is sitting idle, fill the tanks all the way and allow them to sit overnight before emptying and rinsing.
